A young girl carved her name

Overcome with happiness and joy.

And the tree,

Touched to the core

Let fall a flower for the girl.


I am the tree,

So sad and moved.

And you are the girl

Who hurt me so.

I’ll always treasure your dear name.

But tell me

What became

Of my poor flower?
